Status Chip Colors — Tips & Tricks
What this screen is for. Explains what the colored status chips on every SA Logistics screen mean at a glance.
What you do here
- Scan chip colors first to triage a screen without reading every word.
- Treat green (Ready to Order, Open) and blue (Ordered, Completed, Released) as needing nothing from you.
- Work amber chips (Pending Count, In Process, Counting) first — they're your action queue.
- Treat red chips (Cancelled, Error, Deleted in QB, Rush) as needing a decision now.
- Check grey (Dropped) items only for record-keeping, not action.
- Report any slate (plain) chip so it can be assigned a color.
- Rely on the printed status word, not just color, on black-and-white printouts.
Watch out
- A slate chip isn't a data bug — it's a new status word not yet colored; report it.
- Colors match across the Buy List index, Buy List, Requirements Orders, PO screens, and reports.
- A Cancelled (red) Buy List is still readable but nothing on it can be edited.
