Pick Item — Tips & Tricks

What this screen is for. Lets an operator pick items one SKU at a time against a job, saving quantities without posting to QuickBooks.

What you do here

• Type the RO #, FP or BT job number, or customer name and tap Go to set the job.
• Set a class via Set class or Change class if the job bar strip turns red.
• Scan or type the SKU in Scan or type SKU and tap Go.
• Check the returned description, UOM, bin, Qty Req'd and Qty OH before entering quantity.
• Type the quantity and tap Save; the screen clears back to the SKU box for the next item.
• On PC, fill several SKU + qty rows in the grid and tap Save all.
• Use × to remove a bad row before saving on the PC grid.
• Confirm the job/customer name in the job bar after any break before scanning.
• Tap Menu or Change RO / customer when finished so the next person starts clean.

Watch out

• Saving the same SKU again replaces the earlier quantity, it does not add to it.
• Entering 0 cancels the rest of that requirement, it does not just skip the line.
• Save all is all-or-nothing: one bad row means nothing in the grid saves.
• There is no Post button here; nothing moves until posted from Pick Review & Posting.
