Users

The Users screen is where an admin says who may sign in to IM2 and how much they are allowed to do. Only an Admin sees this screen at all — it is the Users link in the top bar.

The four access levels

The levels are only a starting point: exactly which field or action each level may touch is set on the Permissions screen, and an admin can change it there without anyone editing code.

The list

One row per person, sorted by access level and then name:

Setting a PIN

People sign in with their work email and a numeric PIN. They cannot set their own — an admin does it here.

  1. Generate — makes a new random 6-digit PIN and shows it once, big, on screen. Copy it and send it to the person straight away; it is never shown again and nobody (including you) can look it up later. If they lose it, generate another.
  2. Set PIN — type a PIN yourself (4–8 digits). Use this when someone asks for a number they can remember.

Either way, the person's old PIN stops working immediately. Anyone already signed in on a phone or PC stays signed in — a new PIN does not kick them out.

Sorting the list (2026-09-07)

Click any column heading to sort the list by that column; click it again to reverse. Blank cells always fall to the bottom. Numbers sort as numbers and dates as dates. Button and checkbox columns (Actions, Detail) don't sort. The sort works on the rows already on screen, so it never hides anything the page was showing.
