Poll Alert Contacts
Poll Alert Contacts
Settings → Open Poll Alert Contacts (admins only). Four automatic jobs can tell people how they went. For each one you choose which Slack channel it posts to and who is tagged.
The four alerts
| Alert | What it reports |
|---|---|
| FP | FieldPulse RO intake sweep: ran, failed, or went stale |
| BT | BuilderTrend RO intake sweep: ran, failed, or went stale |
| QB → IM2 items | Nightly QuickBooks item refresh into IM2: new, archived, unarchived, SKU exceptions, crashes |
| IM2 → FP items | Nightly item sync into FieldPulse: created, failed, SKU errors, crashes |
Slack channel per alert
The box strip above the list has one box per alert. Paste a Slack channel ID (channel name → ⋯ / About → bottom of the panel, looks like C012ABC3DEF), then Save channels.
- Channel set → one post in that channel, tagging everyone ticked for that alert.
- Channel blank → each ticked person gets a private DM instead.
- If the channel can't be posted to (wrong ID, Viktor not in the channel), the alert falls back to DMs and says so.
The list
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name | for people reading this list |
| Slack member ID | who gets tagged / DM'd (profile → ⋯ → Copy member ID) |
| FP / BT / QB → IM2 items / IM2 → FP items | tick the alerts this person should hear; Save on the row |
There is no delete — untick every box to stop all alerts for a person. An alert with nobody ticked and no channel sends nothing (the 15-minute stale-poll watchdog still falls back to Dave).
Sweeps that were skipped because the interval had not elapsed send nothing. The stale-poll watchdog tells everyone ticked for FP or BT.
Replaces the single Active box (Ver 1). Existing contacts were carried over: whoever was Active has all four ticked.
