Change Log
Change Log
Every change to every item, newest first. It is the same history you see on one item's history panel, for the whole warehouse at once. Nothing here can be edited or deleted — that is the point of it.
Open it from the Change Log (all item changes) tile on the Logistics Main Menu.
Reading a row

Source is the column people miss. It tells you:
- app — a person typing on the maintenance grid
- bulk — an apply-to-selected on the grid
- upload — a spreadsheet update
- abc-report — an ABC Analysis write-back
- cycle count … — a posted count (the batch code follows), plus recount and counts for a count re-entered or discarded before posting
- new item screen — the item was created here
- qb_sync — QuickBooks changed it and the sync mirrored it in; nobody typed it
- user_admin / perms_admin — a user or permission change, not an item change
Narrowing the list
- Changes: — today (the default), last 7 days, last 30 days, or everything.
- SKU contains… — partial SKU is fine.
- Anyone / Any field / Any source — pick one value from what actually exists in the log.
Show applies, Reset puts it back to today. The count line tells you which rows you are looking at out of how many; long results are paged 200 at a time with First / Previous / Next / Last underneath and above the table.
Export
Export downloads exactly what your filters select — all of it, not just the page you are on — as im2_changes_<range>.csv with the same eight columns.
The other Export — the item list
The Export button on Item Master Display & Maintenance is a different file and people mix the two up. That one is the current state of the items you are looking at: it takes the search, the Gen Loc / Group / Manufacturer filters, the chips and the sort you have on screen and writes one row per item — SKU plus the QuickBooks fields (name, both descriptions, qty on hand, cost, primary vendor, active) and every warehouse field (both bins, gen loc, group, manufacturer, mfr part no, UOM, min, max, lead time, count group, notes, ABC code). It arrives as im2_export_<date>.csv.
Two things to remember about it: the Archived chip is an either/or view, so an export made with it off contains live items only and with it on contains archived items only; and it is the same column layout the bulk upload expects, so the normal way to make a big edit is export → edit in Excel → upload.
Common mistakes
- Filtering to today and concluding a change never happened. Widen the range.
- Reading a qb_sync row as somebody's mistake — that came from QuickBooks.
- Expecting the user and permission rows to click through to an item. They are logged in the same trail but they are not items, and the SKU link will find nothing.
