New Requirements Order — Tips & Tricks
What this screen is for. Manually build a Requirements Order for a special project that has no FieldPulse or BuilderTrend job to import.
What you do here
- Search Job / Project Name and pick the right FieldPulse or QuickBooks match from the list.
- Enter a unique BOM Name for that job — two ROs can't share the same job and BOM name.
- Select a Class from the approved list, or accept the auto-filled class if the screen finds one.
- Leave Required Date blank if unknown — it won't count as overdue.
- Add optional Notes as free text.
- Click + Add line for each item, entering a SKU so description and unit of measure fill in.
- Type a description only (no SKU) to make a line Non-Inventory for one-off items or services.
- Fix any line the screen flags as needing a SKU or Non-Inventory before it will save.
- Click Save RO, then use Open RO ### or + Add another RO from the green panel.
Watch out
- BuilderTrend jobs won't show in Job / Project Name search — import those from the RO Inbox instead.
- Until the linked update goes live, Class list may be empty and the saved RO number may show blank — check Requirements Orders screen and tell Logistics.
- An unmatched SKU still saves, but as non-inventory, and raises an issue on Issues to Resolve — check that screen.
- Level 3 users cannot open this screen at all.
